Perhaps the most exiting development is our resent acquisition of a pedestrian operated self-erecting tower crane, capable of lifting from 3 tonnes at close range to 1 tonne at 41 metres. With a height under the hook of 25 metres it is a truly remarkable tool, capable of transforming congested sites by reducing the requirement for teleporters and their associated crush and collision hazards. The company operates a variety of rollers ranging from towed vibrating rollers for use behind a drott to tandem rollers for surfacing work with automatic water sprinklers and tar cutters as well as pedestrian rollers. We also provide  a full range of vibrating plates and traditional compactors not forgetting road barriers of which we have both steel unirail and temporary vertical concrete barriers.

We take great pride in our extensive fleet of plant including full slews, JCBs, drotts, rollers, teleporters and dumpers, all of which are maintained to the highest of standards in-house in our fully equipped workshops by qualified diesel fitters. All plant is hired on Scottish Plant Owners Association terms and conditions, copies of which are readily available from our head office.

Our full slews range in capacity from 1.5 tonnes to 20 tonnes and come can come complete with a range of attachments including ditching buckets and blades, riddle and shaker buckets, trench plate compactors, thumbs, breakers and a crusher bucket capable of processing up to 60 tonnes per hour. In addition, we also operate an accompanying fleet of JCBs and 1CX skidsteer excavators complete with attachments including breakers, power brushes, scarifiers or ripper tines.

Our fleet of lorries, in their highly distinctive red and silver livery, include 6 and 8 wheelers, tippers, 6m³ mixers, insulated tar bodies and rip rap bodies. We operate big hooks with flat bodies, skips from 15 to 60yd, Hiab and plant bodies to accommodate the range of services our customers require. In addition to our trucks, we operate a 7 tonne tipper suitable for a variety of lighter duties.  With two demountable lorries we benefit from being able to react to changing client trends and demands very rapidly.

In addition to the loaders, we have a fleet of dumpers ranging from 3 to 9 tonnes and articulated dump trucks up to 35 tonnes. We also operate a Liebherr 621 drott with a four in one bucket and ripper tines.  It is a 16 tonne machine and ideal for grading and loading work. Having an accredited SEPA Waste Hauliers Licence is an enormous benefit to our clients who can rest easy in the knowledge that their waste is handled appropriately. Our trucks have hauled quarry materials, building materials, wood, steel, plant, containers, pre cast concrete and even the odd boat and railway carriage. We operate throughout the south of Scotland from our base in Earlston.
